The Bethania Group is currently recruiting for a Full Time Rehab Aide position to join our dedicated team at the Pembina Place Mennonite Personal Care Home at 285 Pembina Highway in Winnipeg, MB.
This unionized position (CUPE) plays an important role in working closely with Occupational Therapist and assisting with the resident care.
Qualifications
· Rehabilitation Assistant Certificate or Diploma
· Direct Resident Care experience an asset. (One year experience as an assistant in a Rehabilitation department preferred)
· Physical and mental health to meet the demands of the job
· Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships.
· A genuine interest in the health care of people and a sensitivity to their needs.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
· Demonstrating knowledge and understanding of the Resident Care Philosophy
· Is aware and respects, promoted and compiles with the Resident Bill of Rights and Responsibilities
· Ability to interact effectively with resident, families, staff and the public with courtesy and confidentiality
· Demonstrating knowledge of the content and direction contained in policies and procedures applicable to job performance
· Demonstrating awareness of the routine of the Unit
Physical Demand
· Demonstrates a physical and mental ability to satisfactorily perform essential job duties by:
· Maintaining the needed flexibility, strength, stamina and emotional ability to perform the job requirements.
· Meeting the demands of the job in a consistent manner
· Accepting a rotation that he/she can satisfactorily work without relying on others to carry part of the workload.
Successful candidates are required to provide a current (within the last year) Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector Search and Adult Abuse Registry Check.
