SUMMARY Under the supervision of the Quality and Regulatory Affairs Manager, the incumbent assists with ensuring products or processes comply with relevant regulations and standards. This involves tasks like gathering data, preparing documentation for regulatory submissions, and supporting the overall compliance process.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Respond to all requests for documentation and technical information (technical data sheets, nutritional analyses, certificates of analysis, allergens, quality assurance questionnaires, specific customer questions, kosher certificates, etc.).
  • Maintain and verify technical information and documents for raw materials supplied by suppliers and finished products.
  • Prepare the required documents for raw material imports and product exports.
  • Submit requests for approval of raw materials and finished products for organic, kosher, and halal certifications.
  • Manage the organic, kosher, and halal certification program in collaboration with the SQF specialist.
  • Manage customer complaint files in collaboration with various company departments.
  • Create and review US ingredient lists in collaboration with the R&D department. Manage required permits (fish imports, dairy factory operations, etc.)
  • Stay informed about various Canadian and U.S. regulations related to products and raw materials.
  • Deal with consultants and government agencies (CFIA, Health Canada, etc.) regarding regulations as needed.
  • Advise various company departments on current regulations.
  • Perform all other duties related to the position.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma in Dietetic Technology or Food Processing or similar.
  • 3 years' experience in a similar position in the food industry.
  • Ability to take initiative, strong judgment, and a keen critical mind.
  • Strong organizational skills, rigor, and methodology.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with keen attention to detail and rigor while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work closely with diverse teams.
  • Creativity, high autonomy, and a strong sense of priorities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while respecting priorities.
  • Versatility and proactiveness in the face of challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
  • Fluent in French and English, both spoken and written.
  • Good knowledge of SAP (SAP) is an asset.

TEMPORARY POSITION FOR A DURATION OF 12 MONTHS.
