We are looking for a dental assistant to join us. Dental experience in Alberta is preferred but not required. New grads are welcome to apply if they are willing to commit to training and learning.
What we are looking for
English communication, able to grow with training, have a life-work balance , Can drive/commute independently
Daily/Weekly duties include:
- Set up and assist with root canals, fillings, crown preparations and oral surgery (training will be provided for more complicated procedures like implants and cosmetics)
- Take xrays and images including cbct
- Able to work relatively fast and maintain a clean/organized working environment
- Be willing to learn and use modern office equipment such as: CBCT, Digital Photography, computers, oral scanners and 3D printing, nitrous machine
- Take Impressions and pour models
- Maintenance of equipment and ordering materials
- Review the schedule before treatment and write detailed notes after the appointment
Hours:
Tuesdays 10-6 pm (flexible to leave earier if needed)
Wednesdays 10-6 pm
Thursday 9-4 pm
Fridays 8.30-3.30 pm
Alternating Saturdays 9-3 pm
Hourly rate will depend on abilities and experience.
Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
