9-9 Ranch Ltd. is located south of Coronation in east central Alberta. We are seeking a dedicated, hardworking individual to assist us in maintaining the productivity and efficiency of our beef cow/calf, feedlot & grain operation. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn and the ability to work with cattle and various types of farm equipment.
Responsibilities:
Operate & maintain various types of farm equipment. Tractors, seeders, balers, skid steers, sprayers, trucks & trailers.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas including shop, bin yards, feed lot, barns & farm yard.
Hauling seed, fertilizer, grain or water.
Fencing & fence maintenance.
Assist with calving, handling & processing calves, herd health maintenance, feeding cattle including feedlot cattle.
Able to perform physical labour associated with farm work.
Requirements & experience:
Valid Class 5 licence (class 1 would be a bonus)
Previous experience with calving & agricultural work is an asset.
Mechanical knowledge and/or welding experience an asset.
Self starter & ability to work independently
Passion for working in agriculture & a willingness to learn new skills.
Good communication skills
No physical limitations to physical labour in all weather conditions.
Able to work longer days during busy seasons: ie calving, seeding, harvest.
Work efficiently with attention to maintaining personal safety & safety for livestock & co-workers.
