Under the general supervision of a senior position such as an Occupational Therapist, Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse, the Psychiatric Mental Health Assistant assists with the provision of activation and socialization services for mental health patients in the acute care or tertiary care setting, provides personal care assistance, and supports services to the patient/client and interdisciplinary team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Training And Experience
Grade 10 and completion of a recognized Nursing Assistant Program, plus two (2) years' recent, related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
