Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail oriented Property Manager to oversee daily operations across our managed properties. The ideal candidate will be proactive, highly organized, and skilled at balancing the needs of property owners, tenants, and vendors while maintaining strong financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day to day operations of assigned properties, ensuring smooth tenant relations and maintenance.
- Act as the primary point of contact for tenants, owners, and contractors.
- Coordinate repairs, maintenance, and renovations in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Conduct property inspections and ensure compliance with local bylaws, health, and safety regulations.
- Oversee leasing activities, including advertising vacancies, screening tenants, and preparing lease agreements.
- Manage budgets, track expenses, and prepare regular financial and occupancy reports for property owners.
- Enforce lease terms, handle rent collections, and address late payments or disputes professionally.
- Collaborate with vendors, service providers, and internal teams to ensure high-quality property upkeep.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in property management or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of residential and/or commercial tenancy laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in property management software (e.g., Buildium, Yardi, AppFolio) is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- [Optional: Certification such as CPM, RPA, or a provincial property management license is an asset.]
