Responsibilities
- Real Estate Strategy & Compliance: Provide expert advice on real estate acquisitions, taxation, management, and disposal, ensuring all actions adhere to legal and regulatory requirements.
- Decommissioning & Remediation: Oversee deliverables, budgets, and timelines related to property decommissioning and remediation, and management and compliance of on-site vendors.
- Negotiations & Transaction Management: Negotiate agreements and compensation packages, and manage transactions supporting capital programs, including land rights acquisitions and renewals (e.g., licenses, leases, easements), ensuring legal due diligence and proper execution of contracts.
- Project Management: Lead real estate projects related to property maintenance, decommissioning, and redevelopment. Create detailed construction timelines and manage pre-construction meetings, inspections, and safety standards.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary liaison for internal and external stakeholders, navigating negotiations and ensuring the delivery of legally sound and strategically aligned project outcomes.
Qualifications
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in real estate, project management, and legal roles, with a preference for those with decommissioning or redevelopment project experience.
- Real Estate & Legal Expertise: Extensive experience in real estate management (industrial, commercial, residential, and rural) with strong expertise in property law, land use/urban planning, and realty governance processes.
- Project Leadership: Proven experience managing large-scale projects, particularly in decommissioning or construction sectors, with the ability to oversee multiple phases from planning to execution.
- Contract Law: Skilled in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex legal agreements related to property rights, acquisitions, and real estate transactions.
- Strategic Negotiation: Expertise in developing and implementing negotiation strategies for real estate acquisitions, fee or easement interests, and property sales.
- Analytical & Communication Skills: Excellent analytical skills for interpreting plans, surveys, and proposals, paired with strong verbal and written communication abilities to convey legal and project information clearly.

- Strong interpersonal communication to guide discussions with various parties, ensuring all projects align with business objectives and legal mandates.
