We are currently looking for a Project Manager, People Services to join our Better Together Team! This is a unique role that will support the people services team in the management of strategic goals and objectives and ensure overall alignment and integration across the division. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager who will work with our Manager of People Projects and have accountability to the CHRO, and the People Services Leadership team.
The successful candidate will be accountable for:
- Owning the end-to-end project management activities across multiple and complex projects including project scoping, project plan and schedule, resource tracking, communication, issues and risks management, impacted group management, budgeting, and reporting;
- Leading, organizing and facilitating project-related meetings, developing project status reports and maintaining project plans, presentations, statistics and other related documents, as required;
- Ensure appropriate impacted group management, including collaboration with impacted groups across the organization to achieve project goals;
- Collaborate on change management activities;
- Proactively identifying any project risks and recommending solutions and mitigation strategies;
- Identifying synergies and alignment opportunities across the People Services function;
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Ideal candidates must have or be working towards the completion of or demonstrated experience:
- Undergraduate degree with preference for specialty in human resources, business, health administration or related discipline;
- A Project Management Professional (PMP) designation; or
- Relevant demonstrated experience in similar work.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in project management; experience in human resources and/or healthcare environments such as hospitals, consulting, government or private sector is ideal;
- Superior analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities;
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate needs of senior leaders;
- Demonstrated effectiveness at leading and working with large/complex teams;
- Experience organizing and facilitating meetings with multiple impacted groups with competing priorities;
- Effective interpersonal communication skills and ability to successfully build relationships;
- Demonstrated ability to develop effective and comprehensive reports and presentations for various audiences, including executives, administrators and clinicians;
- Excellent organizational, time management and project management skills;
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively;
- Strong understanding of the hospital’s strategic plan.
Location:
We offer employees, in roles that are conducive to remote work, the flexibility and the right mix of remote and in-office work (approximately 80/20). Acknowledging that the primary workspace will be remote work from home, but there will be times when onsite presence is appropriate just as there will be times when onsite presence may not be possible.
The expectation is that remote work locations, as part of the Flex First program, will be in the employee’s place of residence, and adhere to all THP policies and procedures, with special consideration towards privacy. Since employees should be available to return to the workplace within 24 hours’ notice, remote work outside of the province or country is not acceptable.
