Project Manager

Journal Technologies is seeking a collaborative and detail-oriented Project Manager to join our Litigation Team. This role is critical to ensuring timely, scoped, and high-quality project delivery while helping scale a team working directly with post-implementation customers. This is not just a traditional PM role—it’s an opportunity to act as a strategic executor, bridging business needs with technical delivery, and directly shaping how justice agencies interact with modern technology solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage assigned Litigation from kickoff to delivery, ensuring alignment to contracts, scope, and delivery milestones.
  • Creates communication plans to keep all stakeholders informed of progress and issues and assures timely adaptive action is taken.
  • Serve as the primary communication bridge between JTI and client stakeholders.
  • Keep internal project tracking systems updated (Jira, JCMS).
  • Proactively identify risks, manage change requests, and escalate issues as needed.
  • Guide day-to-day operations for project analysts, implementers, and testers.
  • Coordinate internal planning, sprint management, and team workflows.
  • Maintain documentation of meetings, timelines, and performance metrics.


Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of experience as a Project Manager or similar position responsible for defining and managing project scope, timelines, profitability, and effective delivery of products or services.
  • Familiarity with Agile project management, Jira, and sprint processes.
  • Strong client relationship skills and ability to act as a buffer and facilitator.
  • Technically conversant in product configuration and justice system workflows.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • PMP or similar certification is a plus but not required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of smaller projects or one or two large projects concurrently.
  • The projects we execute typically range from $100,000 to $2 million.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
  • Top-notch oral, written, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to implement and abide by Knowledge Management standards and methodologies.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint and Project/PPM applications.

The pay range for this role is:
75,000 - 100,000 USD per year(Remote (United States))
75,000 - 100,000 USD per year(JTI Los Angeles, USA)
70,000 - 90,000 CAD per year(British Columbia, Canada)
