We are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Application Development Manager (ADM) to lead and oversee critical technology initiatives for one of Canada’s leading financial institutions. This role requires a combination of strong project leadership, technical understanding of the software development lifecycle, and expertise in delivering results in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple projects through all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring on-time, on-budget, and high-quality delivery.
- Drive Agile ceremonies and processes, promoting best practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Serve as a primary liaison between stakeholders, business units, and technical teams, ensuring alignment of objectives and clear communication of progress.
- Oversee planning, scheduling, and resource allocation for development teams.
- Manage risk, issue tracking, and change requests, ensuring prompt resolution to minimize project disruptions.
- Develop and maintain detailed project documentation, including roadmaps, status reports, and post-implementation reviews.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver digital banking initiatives that enhance customer experience and align with business goals.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, ensuring high performance and professional growth.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 8–10+ years in project management, with proven success in large-scale IT projects.
Core Skills:
- Strong understanding of SDLC principles and methodologies.
- Expertise in Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in digital banking projects.
- Previous experience in a banking or financial services environment.
