Overview
Cantex Mining Services is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator registered as an Engineer In Training (EIT) with Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia (EGBC) for an earthworks / mining operation around Logan Lake, BC.We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the planning, execution, and completion of mining projects. The Project Coordinator will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within scope.
Duties
- Manage the daily LEM process and ensure labour and equipment financial data is accurate along with daily production and targets.
- Manage the daily Quality Control data for hydraulic and mechanical placed material and ensure operations is aware of any issues.
- Assist in the development and management of project schedules and planning using 3D CAD based and scheduling software.
- Coordinate project activities, including meetings, documentation, and communication among team members.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to support project planning and execution.
- Conduct construction estimating to assist in budget preparation and resource allocation.
- Maintain organized records of project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and correspondence.
- Monitor project timelines and deliverables to ensure adherence to deadlines through effective time management practices.
- Collaborate with various teams to facilitate smooth workflow and address any issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
Experience
- Civil / Geotechnical Engineering degree or certificate preferred but any Degree in a recognized Canadian University in Canada will be considered. Engineer In Training (EIT) registered with Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia (EGBC) is preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and access) is required.
- Proven experience in project management or coordination within the construction industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with construction estimating techniques and tools is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction processes.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $80,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
