Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Project Coordinator to join our team at Komplete Modular Solutions Ltd. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth execution of modular construction projects across various sites in Canada. The Project Coordinator will play a vital role in managing project timelines, resources, and communication to uphold our commitment to quality and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Project Coordination
- Support the Project Manager in the development and tracking of project schedules and critical path activities.
- Coordinate the off-site manufacturing process with on-site installation and site readiness.
- Maintain organized project records including shop drawings, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
Communication & Liaison
- Facilitate clear communication between internal teams (design, procurement, operations), external contractors, suppliers, and clients.
- Provide timely updates to clients and stakeholders on project progress, challenges, and resolutions.
- Attend project meetings and assist in preparing agendas, meeting notes, and follow-ups.
Logistics & Scheduling
- Coordinate transportation logistics for modular units, including permitting and equipment needs.
- Monitor delivery timelines and assist with sequencing for efficient site installation.
- Support job site personnel with delivery coordination, unloading, and unit placement activities.
Compliance & Quality Control
- Ensure all units comply with applicable modular construction standards (e.g., CSA A277, Z240) and local building codes.
- Assist in quality assurance reviews and inspections, both at the factory and on-site.
- Support safety documentation, site orientations, and adherence to OH&S standards.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare regular progress reports, schedules, and budget updates.
- Track project expenditures and assist in managing project costs within budget.
- Contribute to close-out documentation, including as-built records and deficiency lists.
Requirements
Education
- Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Architectural Technology, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in construction coordination, preferably in modular or prefabricated environments.
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders and managing concurrent timelines.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, scheduling tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar), PDF software (Acrobat, Bluebeam, etc), construction and accounting softwares.
- Drafting and CAD software proficiency would be an asset.
- Knowledge of modular construction codes (CSA A277, Z240), provincial building codes, and safety regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Additional Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites and manufacturing facilities.
- Comfortable working in dynamic and fast-paced project environments.
