Part-Time Program Manager (20 hrs/week)

The Program Manager ensures the overall effectiveness of one or more Christian Horizons locations. They seek to promote and model Christian Horizons’ Service Principles by enhancing relationships, promoting citizenship, valuing people’s gifts, recognizing self-determination, encouraging growth and
development, and recognizing the need for holistic supports in a manner that considers each person’s intrinsic value. They implement organizational policy and establishes an environment for supported individuals and employees in keeping with Christian Horizons Values, Vision, and Mission. The Program Manager is required to assist the Direct Support Professionals in meeting the needs of the people who use services, promoting growth and enhancing quality of life.
The Program Manager helps build communities of belonging in accordance with the core Values of Karis Disability Services; Valuing People, Fostering Belonging, Serving Others and Respecting Gifts. They respect and uphold the Values, Vision, and Mission of Karis Disability Services, demonstrating the highest standards of courtesy, respect and integrity in their dealings with people using services, other employees and both internal and external stakeholders.
Details of the position: Permanent, Part-Time, 20 hrs week, Mon-Fri, occasional weekend depending on needs.
Skills required:
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, databases and all Karis IT platforms.
Financial management, marketing and communication skills.
Excellent knowledge re: social rec & leisure needs of service users in the DS sector.
Advanced communication skills (verbal/written).
Experience Required:
Previous administrative experience required (minimum 1 year); previous leadership experience will be considered an asset.
Ability Required: Full Class G license with clear Driver's Abstract and $1M (minimum - $2M preferred) personal liability insurance. Ability to assume rotational on-call responsibilities.
Pay Scale: $34.00 -$38.37
