Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to a variety of pets, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the grooming process. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills and a love for animals, making every grooming experience enjoyable for both pets and their owners.
Duties
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for dogs and cats of various breeds and sizes.
- Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs, grooming styles, and any health concerns observed during the grooming process.
- Provide exceptional customer service to build rapport with clients and encourage repeat business.
- Handle pets safely and comfortably, utilizing proper lifting techniques for heavy or large animals.
- Stay updated on the latest grooming trends, techniques, and products to provide the best service possible.
Requirements
- A minimum of 1 year previous experience in pet grooming is mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger breeds or multiple pets.
- Knowledge of different dog and cat breeds, their grooming needs, and behavior is a plus.
- A genuine love for animals and a compassionate approach to their care.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate client needs.

Job Type: Permanent
Pay: $16.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 35 per week
