Summary
We are currently seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee our manufacturing operations at Meyer Housewares Canada Inc. This role is vital in ensuring efficient production processes and maintaining high standards of quality. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving productivity and fostering a positive work environment. This person will supervise staff in the manufacturing process, and organize and monitor workflows.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, accomplishing manufacturing results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures. Provide effective feedback to staff.
- Responsible for orienting and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities.
- Maintain workflow by monitoring steps of the process; observing Quality control points; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
- Complete production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production reports.
- Ensure operation of equipment by communicating clearly with the maintenance dept and calling for repairs.
- Work in a team environment for continuous improvement of production and quality.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Maintain working relationships within the collective agreement by following the terms of the collective bargaining agreement.
- Resolve personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.
- Must be a team player.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Pay: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
