Job Summary:
As a Production Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities by coordinating and managing daily operations of a production facility. You will be responsible for overseeing manufacturing processes, ensuring efficient and high-quality production, and maintaining safe work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the development and implementation of activities in production area to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives
- Lead by example and foster an environment that is safe and enables associates to work to their highest potential
- Foster a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
- Respond to employees’ questions, concerns and address grievances in a professional manner
- Maintain a clean and tidy and organized department
- Ensure the safety of employees
- Accessible to employees and encourage two-way interactions
- Attend regular production meetings and monitor production loads to review resource needs
- Develop actions plans and execute to meet our customer’s demands and business goals
- Recognize employees’ accomplishments and contributions to KPI’s
- Conduct meetings to communicate plant and department performance and activities and maintain communication boards
- Implement and maintain Continuous Improvement activities. Work with team to determine root cause and preventative actions.
- Ensure that expectations of product quality are communicated, monitored, coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees
- Conduct safety walks, accident and incident investigations and corrective actions in a succinct, thorough and timely manner
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong technical knowledge of metal stamping processes and equipment
- Strong ability to engage in proactive positive employee relations with manufacturing associates
HIGHLY PREFERRED
- Post-secondary education in manufacturing leadership or related discipline
- 5 years of demonstrated manufacturing and leadership experience
- Experience with Sheet Metal Stamping
- Able to drive Forklift truck.
