Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain accurate production schedules, including sub assembly jobs, that align with customer demands, inventory targets, ensuring on-time deliveries and minimizing delays and down-time.
  • Coordinate with purchasing to ensure material availability
  • Ensure production has all applicable job orders and schedules
  • Date and schedule orders in a timely fashion to support high levels of customer service
  • Review, communicate and react based on trends in the business and production with the goal of supporting best in industry lead times and customer service
  • Monitor and report key Production metrics out to the team
  • Facilitate daily and weekly production meetings
  • Process sub-assembly jobs, webbing, and glue jobs through MRP.
  • Establish priority lists and resolve any scheduling/priority conflicts
  • Help ensure inventory integrity by assisting in physical inventories/cycle counts
  • Interact with Production, Purchasing and Shipping to make sure everyone is working towards the same schedule and objectives
  • Manage and maintain the ERP system item data setups
  • Issue and manage job orders on the shop floor. Audit job orders for accuracy before closing and updating inventory

Experience

Required
  • 3 - 7 years: • In depth knowledge and demonstrated success managing production scheduling and planning • Knowledge of forecasting (both short and long term) • Experience working with and managing ERP/MRP systems; INFOR/CSI experience an asset. • Must be self-directed with exceptional organizational skills, ability to plan and execute, prioritize, and multi-task (with frequent interruptions), with minimum supervision
  • • Excels in a fast-paced, dynamic and deadline-driven environment. • High attention to detail and strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills • Strong proficiency in scheduling software, Microsoft Office Suite, and BI tools. • Good Communication and facilitation skills including leading meetings • Proven team and relationship-building skills including working with cross-functional teams • Sourcing and negotiating experience an asset but not required

Education

Preferred
  • Post Secondary in relevant field or better
