Air Filter Sales and service is looking for a well-organized, inquisitive and team focused individual to join our team in the position of Production Lead. Working closely with the Production Manager, this position is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the production warehouse, including, but not limited to, the receiving, stocking, processing, reconditioning, inventorying, and distributing of products and materials.
In this role, you’ll be providing guidance and support to the production team — while contributing to the fast-paced, can-do energy that keeps our production backlog at a minimum.

What you’ll be doing:
- Provide clear communication, direction, support, to the production team members to ensure accurate and timely execution of all production operations.
- Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations, and compliance and promote a culture of safety with employees.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure effective internal and external customer service.
- Consistently seek to improve productivity and implement processes to minimize errors.
- Set goals and priorities for the team to enable accurate, efficient, and timely task completion.
- Work alongside production team members in areas with exposure to dust, vibration, and noise to manage a low production inventory backlog.
- Track inventory, shipments, and production metrics on a daily and weekly basis.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and mobile equipment.
- Execute daily physical tasks while wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary.
- Accommodate evening and weekend work as required.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience with all aspects of warehouse management including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and quality control.
- Prior experience leading and directing a small team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an aptitude for effective listening.
- Experience working with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams and SharePoint)
- A positive attitude with a desire to promote a strong and collaborative team environment.
- Ability to perform basic repair and maintenance of production equipment.
- A curious, self-starter with a “get things done” attitude.
- Experience operating a forklift, a valid forklift certification is an asset.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record, experience driving large vehicles and towing trailers an asset.
