Production Assistant, Manitoba Club
The Production Assistant supports Manitoba Club’s in-house design studio. The studio is responsible for graphic design and managing the club’s brand and communications. The Production Assistant is responsible for ensuring member, guest, staff and public facing material is produced and delivered to a high standard, in a timely manner and within tight timelines. Reporting to the Manager | Design, Brand and Communications, the Production Assistant supports the club’s multi-disciplinary experts – from member services, culinarians, sommeliers, event managers, banquet teams and administration – to deliver exemplary member and guest experiences. This is a production role (not design) and entails:
1. Desktop Publishing
- Formatting communication pieces across print, online, digital and environmental spaces using existing designs, using templates developed in-house and following established brand standards
- Formatting publications, marketing tools, menus, event material, posters, retail displays, etc.
- Preparing files for online publishing and for print production (for a variety of reproduction methods)
- Creating accessible digital files, templates and forms in Microsoft Word and Adobe InDesign
- Updating the club’s website and email marketing content
- Delivering proofs to multi-disciplinary team, collecting feedback, completing revisions and printing
2. Quality Control
- Proofreading and verifying accuracy of content with strong attention to detail and typographic style
- Reviewing project deliverables to ensure completeness and accuracy
- Confirming accessibility of projects prior to publishing and distribution
- Ensuring permissions, licensing and terms of use are followed prior to use of imagery/content/typography
3. Assembly & Crafting
- Cutting, assembling, framing and installing finely detailed print material and displays by hand
- Producing and preparing time-sensitive mailings in-house with an eye for detail and efficiency
4. Studio Organization
- Organizing visual/digital assets to ensure accurate and accessible documentation of permitted uses
- Organizing, re-ordering and maintaining studio supplies/materials from existing vendors
Qualifications
- Completion of post-secondary Graphic Design program or equivalent experience
- Minimum of one to three years of experience preparing production-ready files (print and online)
- Experience creating and verifying accessibility for digital media
- Experience working with multi-page publications
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Strong attention to detail and desire to solve problems collaboratively
- Ability to proactively manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Compensation
- Salary Range: $36,000 to $40,000, based on experience
- Health, Dental, Vision (testing) benefits after 6-month of employment
- Defined Contribution, Employer Matched, Group RPP after 12-month of employment
