Some details about the Product Specialist role
As a Product Specialist, you have an important part in the cycle of our auctions. You will work quickly and diligently to add a balanced number of items to our weekly auctions. By unpacking, inspecting and completing clear Condition Reports, enhanced by clear photos of each item that crosses your desk, you will ensure accuracy and timely cataloging of a very wide range of small, medium and oversized items.
Who we are looking for in this role…
Cataloguing items is your goal as you sort, unpack, inspect, photograph and complete a condition report for each lot. You will report information like missing pieces, no power, brand new, slight evidence of usage, adjusted quantity, etc. No surprises for our bidders is the goal for this department.
We now have TWO locations; we are growing and our first warehouse was just too small. The original location at 23 Buchanan is where larger items will be catalogued (furniture, appliances, items that would require more time). Our new location, just down the street at 980 Adelaide Street South (at Bradley), is the home for a team of Product Specialists who focus on small and medium items. What will you need to be successful in this role:

- Ability to meet performance benchmarks

- You have a keen eye and notice the details-
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Availability 8:30 am to 5:45 pm Monday to Friday on a permanent full-time basis
- Ability to work Saturdays and overtime as needed
- Working with little supervision, self-discipline is paramount
This role starts at PS Level 1- $19.00 per hour. After three months of continuous employment, you will be eligible to enroll with our Group Benefit plan through Manulife- we offer Single or Family coverage with Dental and Vision care included and the employer pays 50% of your premiums. We also offer enrollment with our GRSP (Group Retirement Savings Plan) for those who are interested.
