Job Overview
We’re hiring a Produce Assistant to help keep our produce fresh, organized, and beautiful. If you care about food quality and enjoy working in a friendly, fast-paced environment — we’d love to meet you!
What You’ll Do
- Inspect fruits and vegetables for ripeness, freshness, and spoilage.
- Discard or report damaged or expired produce.
- Restock and rotate inventory using FIFO (First In, First Out) method.
- Package produce, Maintain clean, produce displays, and back stock areas.
- Monitor cooler temperatures and storage standards daily.
- Assist customers with produce questions and provide helpful suggestions.
- Communicate with the Buyer to suggest restocks and monitor product quality.
What We’re Looking For
- Eye for quality and detail — you know fresh from not-so-fresh.
- Good communication and a customer-first attitude.
- Comfortable lifting boxes/crates (up to [insert weight, e.g. 30–50 lbs]).
- Reliable, self-motivated, and a team player.
- Previous grocery or produce experience is a plus (but not required).
- Strong interest in supporting local farms and sustainable food systems

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.88-$22.00 per hour
