A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As a Process Reliability Technician at Photon Control Inc., a subsidiary of MKS Instruments, Inc., you will partner with Production and Production Engineering teams to support and advance Equipment Management, Direct production line support, Non-Conformance investigations, Continuous Improvement Projects (CIP) and all related documentation. In this role, you will report to the Supervisor of Manufacturing Engineering.
You Will Make an Impact By:
Provide real-time support for production line issues and events, ensuring timely and effective resolution to minimize downtime.
Utilize the Equipment and Chemical Manager application to manage equipment supervision tasks, including Calibration, Verification, Maintenance, and Maintenance-On-Demand (MOD).
Track the full lifecycle of chemicals from receipt and identification to location, issuance, consumption, and disposal.
Participate in investigations and reporting of non-conformances.
Implement containment measures, identify root causes, and define corrective actions.
Complete all required documentation and follow-up reporting.
Contribute to ongoing Continuous Improvement (CI) projects aligned with corporate objectives.
Provide input and support to initiatives aimed at operational efficiency and cost savings.
Prepare and review Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and manufacturing/assembly instructions.
Maintain and update process and procedural documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Organize and optimize departmental workflows and workspaces.
Demonstrate strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a well-structured work environment.
Skills You Bring:
Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics preferred.
Minimum of 1 year of relevant job-related experience.
Strong work ethic with a high level of attention to detail and a results-driven mindset.
Ability to manage time-sensitive tasks, particularly in production line support and equipment management.
Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
Proficient in the use of basic hand and power tools.
Strong problem-solving abilities, including the use of investigative tools and techniques to identify root causes and assess impact.
Preferred Skills:
Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain orderly spare equipment, tools, parts, and work areas.
Willingness to learn and take direction, with a collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Solid problem-solving aptitude, with the ability to assess and understand issues related to system or equipment malfunctions.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of time.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Regularly requires good manual dexterity and coordination.
Occasionally moves/positions objects up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
Must be able to exchange accurate information.
Operates in a professional office and/or laboratory/manufacturing environment.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.
Ability to observe documents and details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)
Dedication to safety to mitigate hazards, including handling mechanical and electrical hardware, high voltage, gas, water, and heat.
Noise level in the work environment is usually average.

Compensation:
Salary Pay Range: $45,000 - $60,000 per year. This range is a reasonable expectation of pay for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience, education, training, operational and business needs and other considerations.
