Job Summary
As a key member of the Calabrian management team, the Process Control and Integrity Management Coordinator is accountable for planning scheduling and oversight of all process control, support elements of process safety management program and assure site integrity program is optimized and executed to assure the Timmins facility, delivers business objectives and requirements as well as supporting the day-to-day operation and IGGN adherence of the plant. This position executes and provides instruction which will enable these objectives to be met or exceeded by balancing the key priorities for Safety, Environmental, Production and Maintenance. Incumbent is a driving force in the continuous improvement of the Timmins Site SHE and manufacturing performance.

This position requires that the incumbent commit to learning, following and practicing the INEOS 20 Principals of Process and Behavioral Safety and the INEOS Group Lifesaving Rules daily, as they apply to the position. These Principals and Rules are posted within each INEOS Calabrian facility.

Duties

· Planning scheduling and preparation of all INEOS Calabrian process control and process automation projects and strategies.

· Design, manages and implements all process automation changes and/or upgrades within the TN site control systems and major electrical and control projects within the Port Neches site.

· Assure and support IT team in the delivery of projects and intrasite initiatives.

· Assess and support procurement and selection of process control equipment, technology to address INEOS Calabrian electrical and process control needs.

· Supports maintenance and oversight of all IGGN (INEOS Group Guidance Notes) related Timmins site issues (gaps) and/or changes, updates as required to site standards and/or policies, to deliver compliance and sustainability of IGGN requirements.

· Oversight and control of Timmins Site process, electrical and automation documentation including updates, revisions, change management.

· Support and when required, oversight and control of Port Neches site process, electrical and automation documentation including updates, revisions, and change management.

· Management and oversite of modified and or new electrical construction and integrity verification within the INEOS Calabrian business.

· Ensure that all INEOS Calabrian OT network and system needs are met around patches, software updates and hardware capability.

· Management and updates to process data historian and reporting tools to allow for process and operational transparency and notification throughout the business.

· Provide support, maintenance and oversight of all process safety management program documentation and upkeep of the Velocity EHS system ensuring adherence to the INEOS 20 principles, INEOS Enterprises requirements and site policy within the TN Site.

· Supports Process Safety Management Systems and / or Programs to deliver requirements from regulatory bodies and internally through INEOS.

· Provides support and participates in PHA program within the respective process units.

· Support and lead when applicable “Root Cause Failure Analysis” of equipment failures and implements changes to prevent recurrence.

· Review process data to ensure process safety and process automation / optimization operate as intended/designed.

· Supports investigation of safety, environmental, and procedure incidents promptly following all federal, provincial, and local regulations and company policies.

· Reports and triggers investigation for hidden failures and/or control deviations from design.

· Establish standards and requirements to ensure consistent adherence across all shifts, emphasizing thorough communication of process control, integrity program amongst others.

· Perform training and support to E/I maintenance technicians and Operations personnel as needed to ensure understanding, optimal work practices, troubleshooting and equipment reliability.

· Management and support with E/I system integrity and asset care program management

· Oversee maintenance of plant electrical control systems and electrical equipment ensuring that best practice and standards are upheld.

· Support scope development and planning of outage/turnaround to assure process control and integrity program deliverables are identified, planned and safely executed.

· Oversee and input changes and maintenance activities into the Electrical Safety Authorities CSS program and participate in site electrical permitting for all new construction and projects.

· Control work hazards by filling out necessary permits or documenting changes taking place on the site.

· Assess and support prioritization and execution of Timmins site integrity testing, preventive maintenance and inspections to assure timely completion and no overdue inspections.

· Assure that waivers and/or approval of inspection, testing and/or deferral are timely documented, approved, filed and follow up to completion when applicable.

· Works with site Maintenance Coordinator and Operations Superintendent on the timely completion of site integrity testing and inspection (e.g., Electrical, Instrumentation, rotational equipment and fixed equipment).

· Assess, propose and implement changes to site integrity program to assure effective use of resources and error free delivery of the program.

· Set project job priorities as determined by the operation's needs for flow and scope of work.

· Assist and mentor maintenance employees and support technical development.

· Facilitate capital projects including but not limited to defining projects scope, design reviews, cost reviews, project schedule, construction, commissioning and Pre-start up Safety reviews amongst others.

· Ensure that project work is complete, and materials selected comply with engineering and manufacturer specifications and/or established plant standards.

· Provide supervision to intrasite employees and contract business partners as required.

· Act as support for operational problems to minimize downtime.

· Ensure all activities led and/or executed under this positions are done in full compliance with applicable safety/environment laws and regulations.

· Purchase required materials or services associated to all aspects of Timmins plant electrical and process control systems.

· Oversee all work associated to maintaining the site control and electrical systems including but not limited to: creation of project job packages, staging, material acquisition, receiving and task planning.

· Manage and maintain a positive work environment within the plant.

· Support in ensuring equipment and work standards comply with all codes and regulations.

· Complete and verify all prescribed documentation and information is relevant to current site practices for tasks being scheduled/ planned.

· Assist with controlling site fixed cost to meet goals and timelines set out.

· Participate in conducting “Root Cause Analysis” of equipment failures and in implementing changes to reduce them.

· Provide input to the capital project program and help with the implementation and startup.

· Ensure all activities under direct supervision of this position are carried out in full compliance with applicable safety and environmental laws and regulations.

· Other duties as may be required.

Leadership and Management Responsibilities

· Provide leadership, guidance, coaching and decision making, to ensure employees understand company goals, integrity programs and process control requirements (and have the knowledge and resources needed to accomplish them).

· Actively search out cost saving projects and promote continuous improvement by means of forward thinking and encouragement of work force.

· Oversight of all process safety management of change activities as well as any adaptations to IGGN revisions.

· Assists with employee training and professional development.

· Supervision of employees and contract service providers performing electrical maintenance on site.

· Assists with problem resolution and complaint handling.

· Assure compliance with Collective Bargaining Agreement.

· Assure compliance with Human Resources policies and applicable province and federal laws

Requirements

· 3+ years’ experience in a chemical or heavy industrial type plant environment

· A professional degree in Process Safety Management, Instrumentation and Control or Electrical Engineering would be an asset. Other relevant experiences will alternatively be accepted.

· Bachelor’s degree Electrical Engineering or otherwise electrical/instrumentation technologist’s degree with extensive experience in integrity management and controls programming.

· 3+ years of experience in process control or PLC/DCS programming preferred.

· CMMS and maintenance work management an asset.

· Maintenance management / supervisory experience considered an asset.

· Knowledge of industry best practice, codes and standards relating to electrical infrastructure and integrity management is considered an asset

· Knowledge on preventative maintenance and related software

· Technical and functional knowledge in the coordination and delivery of integrity program.

· Controls, Electrical and Instrumentation technical aptitude required.

· Ability to read, interpret and translate code requirements into delivery of compliance programs.

· Ability to maintain and develop accurate written records, documentation and procedures.

· Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills

· Strongly prefer experience relevant to sulfur derivatives such as sulfuric acid, sulfur dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, sulfonation processes, Closed processes, and related industry such as chemical manufacturing, mining, water treatment, etc.

· Experience with both Scada and Controls Programming (PLC, DCS) preferred.

· Must be able to provide support as required for a manufacturing facility operating 24/7/365, including weekends and holidays; must be able to provide scheduled periodic and occasional on-call support
