Reporting directly to the Head Professional and the Assistant Professional, the Pro Shop/Retail Assistant will be an integral part of the professional team. The Pro Shop/Retail Assistant will support our club’s objective to execute high service levels in all aspects of the golf operations while meeting member and guest expectations.
Key responsibilities:
- To supervise the daily operation of the golf shop under the direction of the Professional Team.
- To carry out opening and closing procedures following standard operating procedures for till reconciliation, site security, etc.
- To ensure that the golf shop is clean, orderly, well-stocked and professionally presented.
- To monitor and regularly update sales display areas, including window displays and merchandise in hot spots.
- To assist in organizing promotions to stimulate golf shop sales. Marketing.
- To assist with stock control and ordering, pricing and bar-coding.
- To collect fees and process payments in line with Club procedures, including shop purchases and green fees.
- To assist in organizing and running tournaments, and other events, to help make them a success, in line with club policy.
- To organize and control play ensuring that customers receive the best service and enjoyment during their day.
- To provide excellent customer service at all times.
- Greet members visitors in a prompt, professional and friendly manner.
- To follow all established shop procedures, including those for payment processing, handling, customer complaints and opening and closing.
- Attend meetings and contribute to golf shop ideas and policy-making as required.
- Perform other related duties assigned by the Professional team.

- Willingness to learn all facets of the golf industry.
- Merchandising and inventory control experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

- Operational experience with Jonas and Microsoft Office products.
Employment Details:
- 5/6 day work weeks, must be flexible with hours. (Mornings, evenings and weekends based on seasonal demands)
