The Glencoe Golf & Country Club is a private country club offering 45 holes of championship level conditions. The club maintains a premier Practice Facility that includes a double-sided Driving Range, Practice Greens, and Pitching and Chipping Areas. The Glencoe Golf & Country Club is offering full-time and part-time seasonal positions as a Practice Facility Specialist for the remainder of the 2025 golf season. Start and end dates are negotiable, but the ideal candidate would be available as soon as possible and able to work regular or part-time hours into October. As a Practice Facility Specialist, you will have the chance to work on a premier facility performing both driving range set up and turf maintenance-related tasks and will directly impact creating exceptional experiences for our members. Responsibilities:
- Set up and take down of various amenities at the Practice Facility, including driving range tees
- Collection, cleaning, and re-stocking of golf balls (as needed, supporting the Outdoor Services team)
- Assistance in daily turf maintenance tasks
- Ensuring the tidiness and presentation of the Practice Facility
- Support the preparation of special events at the Practice Facility
- Providing service excellence for members and guests
Qualifications:
- Must have a positive attitude and the ability to work as part of a team
- Have a willingness to learn new tasks
- Be able to handle a dynamic work environment
- Be open to a variety of shift times
- Willingness to work outdoors in various conditions, including in inclement weather
- Capable of lifting up to 40lbs
- Understanding the game of golf is an asset
- Valid Driver’s License
- Access to reliable transportation as there is no public transportation available to our location
This is a seasonal position that will involve early morning shifts, totaling up to 40 hours per week depending on full or part-time. Shift availability will be discussed in the prescreen/interview process.
The successful candidates will be required to complete a criminal record check and a Respect in the Workplace online certification.
