Are You a Skilled Installer Who's Ready for a Shop That Matches Your Standards?
If you’ve been installing automotive paint protection film (PPF) with pride — but feel stuck at a shop that doesn’t value your skill or deliver consistent work — this opportunity is for you.
Tap and Shine is Calgary’s fastest-growing and most trusted paint protection studio, and we’re expanding again. We’re booked out while others slow down, and we’re building a hand-picked dream team of elite installers who value quality over shortcuts. We're looking for someone who is open to growing into a Lead Installer and QC (quality control) role down the road.
What You’ll Do:
- Install paint protection film (bulk and pre-cut installs on high-end and brand new vehicles)
- Perform PPF repair/replacement work as needed
- Support team on prep and handoff for other services when required
- Review installs with clients, educate them on care, and advise on additional protection options if needed
- Maintain high install standards and cleanliness in the studio
Who You Are:
- You have 3+ years of proven install experience with PPF
- You’ve worked with reputable, high-end films (Suntek, 3M, XPEL, STEK, etc.)
- You’re detail-obsessed, solution-focused, and passionate about automotive protection
- You’re comfortable working on trucks and luxury vehicles — Teslas, F150s, Rams, Porsches, exotics, etc.
- You’re reliable, consistent, and have a strong work ethic
- You know how to work independently but also thrive in a tight-knit team
- You take pride in what you do, and you’re not afraid to speak up when things can be better
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years PPF experience (bulk and/or pre-cut)
- Tinting experience is a plus (not required, but an asset)
- Windshield film experience is a plus (not required, but an asset)
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Comfortable driving manual transmission is a bonus
- Experience with DAP, Core, 3M, or similar film cutting software
- Ability to complete clean installs on hoods, bumpers, mirrors, fenders, and full front ends
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs, crouch, kneel, and move around vehicles comfortably
Compensation & Benefits:
- $25–$35/hr based on proven skill and experience
- Raises available
- Overtime pay, tips, and bonuses available
- Full benefits after 6 months: dental, vision, health, life insurance, disability, RRSP matching
- Paid time off and paid holidays
- Tools, plotters, and materials provided
- Friends & family discounts
- Company-provided training (you pass it, we pay for it)
