Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-oriented Powerline Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the construction, maintenance, and repair of overhead and underground power lines. This role requires working in various weather conditions, often at heights, and as part of a team committed to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Construct, maintain, and repair overhead and underground power lines and related equipment.
- Climb poles, operate bucket trucks, and use hot-line tools safely and effectively.
- Interpret technical drawings, work orders, and blueprints.
- Perform switching operations and work on energized lines using rubber glove and hot stick techniques.
- Troubleshoot outages and restore power in emergency situations.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in safe working condition.
- Adhere to all safety standards, procedures, and regulations.
Qualifications
- Certified Journeyperson Powerline Technician.
- Valid Class AZ driver’s license with air brake endorsement (or willingness to obtain) is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in powerline construction and maintenance.
- Proven ability to work at heights and in adverse weather conditions.
- Knowledge of utility standards, OH&S regulations, and safe work practices.
- Ability to work as part of a crew and independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be available for on-call rotations and emergency callouts.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $56.79 per hour
