Job Description
The Power Generation Technician’s primary responsibility is to perform preventative maintenance and make repairs on generators and transfer switch equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Diagnose and perform repairs on all makes of engines and power generators
· Performing preventative maintenance activities with minimal supervision
· Following documented procedures and completing paperwork
· Respond to after hours service calls around the clock on rotation
· Other duties as required
Qualifications and Experience
· 2 years’ experience as a Power Generation Technician preferred
· Electrical Journeyman or Apprentice preferred
· Diploma from relevant technical institute preferred
· Valid Class 5 Drivers License
· Own a complete set of hand tools for both mechanical and electrical repairs
· Good understanding of A/C power
· Proven abilities in troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems
· The ability to perform engine repairs – water pump, thermostat, lift pump, governor, etc.
· Strong work ethic and motivated
· Able to work independently as well as part of a team
. Build and install new generators with switch gear.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $700.00-$800.00 per day
