Profile
The Project Planning Assistant plays a vital role in supporting Project Managers by coordinating administrative and logistical activities that ensure the successful execution of projects. This position involves maintaining project documentation, managing schedules, facilitating communication, and tracking process to promote effective team collaboration. This position is located in our Breslau, Ontario location.
Key Responsibilities
- Open and maintain new job files.
- Prepare and issue task cards and drawing binders to production teams.
- Receive and review file; issue drawings, Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Requests for Engineering (RFEs) to production while maintaining data control processes.
- Review drawing; issue pick orders for stores and submit purchase requisitions for required project parts.
- Maintain parts tracking using project tracking software.
- Populate Parts Process routing forms; manage, track and submit requisitions for outsourced parts.
- Ensure equipment and parts certification are accurately maintained in project files.
- Build out and manage assigned projects in Moovila.
- Coordinate and arrange travel plans for project crews.
- Monitoring the progress of projects throughout their life cycle.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in electrical assembly or wire harness fabrication preferred.
- Aerospace or aviation experience considered an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams is considered an asset.
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Comfortable working in a seated or standing position for extended periods.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Team-oriented with effective communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
