Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting pharmacists in providing quality patient care and ensuring the safe and accurate dispensing of medications. This position is based in a hospital setting.
Duties:
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications to patients
- Accurately label and package medications
- Maintain inventory of medications and supplies
- Perform medication reconciliation and assist with medication administration
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
- Adhere to all pharmacy laws, regulations, and safety standards
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Pharmacy Technician training program or equivalent experience
- Current Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy practices
- Experience working as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital setting is preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
