Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support pharmacists in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the efficient operation of the pharmacy. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology and have experience in medication administration, preferably in a hospital setting. This position is essential for maintaining high standards of service and safety within the pharmacy.
Duties
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately.
- Provide excellent patient care by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications.
- Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient profiles.
- Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations and standards.
- Manage inventory by ordering, restocking, and organizing pharmaceutical supplies.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate effective medication management.
- Utilize knowledge of medical terminology to assist in the interpretation of prescriptions and medication orders.
- Support the pharmacy team in daily operations, including cleaning and maintaining work areas.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong understanding of patient care principles and practices.
- Familiarity with medication administration processes.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $19.00-$21.43 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
