Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support pharmacists in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the efficient operation of a fast-paced environment. Your responsibilities will include data entry, assisting with medication preparation, managing inventory, and providing excellent customer service to patients. A strong understanding of medical terminology and pharmacy practices is essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
- Manage inventory by ordering, receiving, and stocking pharmaceutical supplies.
- Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient profiles.
- Support the pharmacy team in maintaining compliance with health regulations and safety standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care outcomes.
- Assist in the training of new staff members as needed.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of medical terminology is highly desirable.
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Assistant preferred.
- Knowledge and experience working with Pharmacy software, such as Kroll, is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with a focus on patient care and customer service.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with medication administration processes is a plus.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required.
- Driven, organized, adaptability and a willingness to learn are desirable traits.

Pay: $17.20-$20.00 per hour

- Customer service: 2 years (preferred)
