Our team combines expertise in fitness, nutrition, and Muscle Activation Techniques (MAT) to help people move better, feel better, and perform at their best.
Position Overview
We are seeking a hardworking, knowledgeable and experienced personal trainer to join our team at the Body Engineers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting movement assessments, developing detailed science driven exercise plans following the Body Engineers training guidelines and conducting personal training sessions and small group training sessions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth movement assessments for clients.
- Follow the Body Engineers general training principles/thought process.
- Design advanced, periodized, science driven exercise programs using a structured and trackable approach.
- Coach and instruct private personal training and/or partner training sessions.
- Assist clients in the rehabilitation of various injuries and dysfunctions whilst also achieving their body composition goals.
- Provide general nutrition coaching and guidelines to personal training clients with body composition goals.
- Deliver well organized and structured small group classes with a maximum of 10 clients per one-hour session.
Qualifications & Experience
- A degree or diploma in Kinesiology or Exercise Science AND/OR
- Advanced Personal Training Certifications such Poliquin PICP Levels 1 to 4 or Resistance Training Specialist (RTS) Mastery is required
- Full time Personal Training experience for at least 3-4+ years’ is required.
- Muscle Activation Techniques (MAT) Specialist certification or higher, or an equivalent certification, is highly desirable.
- Advanced exercise programming knowledge to achieve fitness goals
- Alignment and willingness to follow the Body Engineers training principles (https://www.thebodyengineers.com/betrainingprinciples).
- Successful track record in achieving body composition results for a variety of clients
- Exceptional knowledge in anatomy and physiology.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
