We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential care and support to individuals in various settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and private homes. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities, ensuring their comfort and well-being through personalized care.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Perform light cleaning duties to maintain a safe and hygienic living space for clients.
- Support individuals with disabilities in achieving their personal goals and maintaining independence.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote cognitive function and social interaction.
- Document patient care activities accurately and maintain up-to-date records as required.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop personalized care plans tailored to each client’s needs.
- Assist with heavy lifting when necessary to ensure client mobility and comfort.
Requirements
- Previous experience in nursing homes or senior care settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with working with people with disabilities and providing dementia care is highly valued.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and experience in patient care or nursing is advantageous.
- Experience in hospice care or case management is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for client assistance.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to caregiving.

Pay: $19.00 per hour
