Reporting to the Director Leadership & Development is responsible for all day-to-day People Operations of the organization, leading a team of specialists to ensure the organization is supported in achieving its future goals.

We are looking for someone who wants to learn the business and grow with it. EmpowHERto is a Toronto-based non-profit organization founded in 2015, dedicated to helping young women and girls reach their fullest potential through its three pillars: Independence, Leadership, and Confidence.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Lead a team of People Operations Specialists with recruiting and onboarding, from identifying and addressing talent requirements to the onboarding of new hires, always looking to further improve the journey from candidate to volunteer

· Develop and maintain strong relationships with the Leadership team and Hiring Managers, providing coaching and advice to help them better engage with and motivate their teams

· Act as a business partner and coach to the organization in all relevant people related issues, providing best practice strategies and solutions

· Work with the People and Culture team to implement necessary core people-related policies, programs and practices to better support the organization in achieving future goals

· Point of contact for all volunteers, supporting with any concerns or queries they have, working with their manager to come to an appropriate resolution

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

· At least 5 years experience as a Senior Generalist/Business Partner

· Ability to partner with and coach senior managers to increase their performance and ensure strong leadership and coaching throughout the organization

· An experienced leader, comfortable with building a team from the ground up, able to inspire and motivate teams

· Experience building executive relationships and driving/influencing change

· Comfortable with ambiguity, has initiative to identify what is required and implement solutions with minimal guidance

· Excellent written and verbal communication

· Non-profit experience is an asset
