Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and manage their check-in and check-out processes.
- Schedule appointments efficiently while considering patient needs and office availability.
- Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries and providing information about services offered.
- Maintain accurate patient records in electronic medical record systems such as Dentrix or Epic.
- Process patient payments and verify insurance information as needed.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.
- Ensure the front desk area is organized and welcoming for patients.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure smooth operations throughout the office.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar role within a medical office environment.
- Proficient in using phone systems and managing multiple calls effectively.
- Familiarity with dental software such as Dentrix or Epic is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dental practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage patient records accurately.
- Proficient in using electronic medical records systems to maintain up-to-date patient information.
