Ottawa Nannies & Family Services is hiring on behalf of a family in Alta Vista seeking a long-term, experienced nanny to support their growing family with two young boys — an almost 2-year-old and a newborn. This role is ideal for someone who is warm, reliable, and aligned with a gentle but structured approach to care.
The position will begin as part-time and has the potential to expand as the family adjusts and the children grow. The right candidate will be someone who values consistency and is looking to build a strong relationship with the family over time.

Position Overview:
- Location: Alta Vista, Ottawa
- Schedule: Monday–Thursday, mornings or afternoons (to be discussed)
- Start Date: As soon as possible
- Children: Two boys – one toddler (almost 2 years old) and one newborn
- Duties Include:
- Daily caregiving for toddler (feeding, diapering, play, naps)
- Engaging, age-appropriate activity planning
- Reading, outdoor time, and outings to local parks, library, or playgroups
- Meal prep for the child
- Light tidying of shared spaces and play areas
- Occasional support with errands and family meal prep
- Infant care will be added once appropriate, as discussed with the family

Candidate Requirements:
- 2+ years of relevant experience (nanny, teacher, ECE, etc.)
- CPR & First Aid certified
- Safe food handling certified (or willing to obtain)
- Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle
- Fully vaccinated
- Strong references
- Conversational English (as a first or second language)
- Understanding of attachment-based caregiving approaches
