Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook at Turtle Jacks Mapleview to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the kitchen and food industry, demonstrating a commitment to high-quality meal preparation and food safety. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in our restaurant's success by helping to create delicious dishes that delight our guests.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards set by the head chef.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality standards for presentation and taste.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and storage areas.
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper handling techniques to ensure the health and safety of all guests.
- Assist with inventory management, including tracking supplies and notifying management of low stock levels.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service hours.
- Participate in daily prep work, including chopping vegetables, marinating proteins, and assembling ingredients for dishes.
Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and food handling practices.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices within a restaurant setting.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and supervisors.

Pay: $17.20-$19.00 per hour
