The individual in this position is passionate about connecting with people, and building trust. Understands that the credit union exists as a result of Member trust and loyalty in the organization and employees; is passionate and dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external Members. The incumbent directly serves members and potential members through the accurate and timely completion and tracking of various banking tasks.
We are a cooperative; our staff are unionized. Our starting hourly rate is $22.73. The hours are not guaranteed but tend to average between 15-20 hours a week. Schedules are posted a minimum of two weeks in advance, often closer to a month in advance. There is an opportunity to pick up more hours, if someone calls in sick, during prime vacation times, etc. We are looking for someone with availability Mon, Tues, Wed – Fri 9-2 and Thursdays 10-6. Candidates must be able to work at both branches in Ottawa, 14 Chamberlain Avenue in the Glebe, and 1541 Merivale Road in Nepean. All Candidates must be able to be fidelity bonded which requires a clear criminal background check, a legal right to work in Canada and a credit background check.
