RAPS is Seeking a Caregiver to Assist an Individual with Cerebral Palsy (A45)
Location: Spruce Grove
Days: 2-3 days per week (flexible) either 1-2 (13 hour shifts) or 3-4 (6.5 hour shifts)
Hours available:
9:30am – 10:30pm
9:30am – 4:00pm
4:00pm – 10:30pm
Job Description: Duties include but are not limited to: manual and mechanical transfers (ceiling lift), personal care, meal preparation, feeding assistance, light housekeeping, support on outings (potentially drive a Handibus), supervision and companionship.
***Please Note: two small dogs & 1 cat in the home***
Qualifications and Other Requirements: The successful candidate must have a clear criminal record check containing the vulnerable sector, speak fluent English, and valid driver’s license/vehicle – will be required to provide a driver’s abstract. Health care aide certificate, experience with cerebral palsy; knowledge and experience with wheelchairs, ramps and slings considered are all strong assets – willing to train the right candidate.
Rate of Pay: $20-$21 based on qualifications and experience
