Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Osteopath to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive patient care through osteopathic techniques, focusing on the holistic treatment of patients. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, acute care practices, and effective pain management strategies. The Osteopath will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals in both hospital and home care settings to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Either a split commission pay or a room rental agreement is available.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history and physical examinations.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and osteopathic principles.
- Administer medications as required and monitor patient responses to treatments.
- Utilize research to stay informed about advancements in osteopathy and related fields.
- Provide acute care services, ensuring patients receive timely and effective interventions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care quality.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems such as Epic.
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment options.
Experience
- A degree in Osteopathy from an accredited institution is required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or home care setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation practices is essential.
- Experience in pain management techniques is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and research within the field of osteopathy.
