Nechako Optometry is a small business in Prince George, BC that has been serving the eyecare needs of Northern British Columbia for over 50 years. We are looking for a new Optometric Assistant/ Receptionist to join our Nechako Optometry family! We are a fast-paced optometric clinic in downtown Prince George providing vision care to Northern British Columbia with a primary focus of providing the very best eyecare and service to our region.
The role we are looking to hire for includes basic reception skills and skills related to the clinic such as:
- Answering telephones
- Checking patients in and out of the clinic
- Appointment and record management
- Aiding in the care of our patients by collecting medical/optical information
- Using specialized optometric instruments to pre-test our patients before they see our doctors.
We are looking for someone who is hard-working and can work well within our team. This includes being friendly, enthusiastic, and positive when caring for our patients, while also being communicative, engaging, and reliable for our coworkers to help ensure a healthy and fun work environment.
We are offering a full-time position (approximately 32-37 hours/week) with extended health and dental benefits, vision care benefits and discounts in our clinic, as well as opportunity for bonuses and other perks. No work experience in the field is required, as we are excited to train the ideal candidate that fits our team well, but preference will be given to someone who has work experience in clinical/reception backgrounds.
