We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated One-on-One Aide to provide individualized support to children with disabilities. This role involves working closely with a child to ensure their physical, annd emotional needs are met in a safe and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate is patient, attentive, and committed to fostering the child’s growth and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, individualized support to a child during daily activities, including recreational activities, and transitions.
- Assist with personal care tasks as needed, such as feeding, toileting, or mobility support.
- Foster social and communication skills through guided interactions and activities.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the child at all times.
- Adapt activities to meet the child’s abilities and encourage engagement.
- Monitor and document the child’s progress, behavior, and any concerns.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, or a related field preferred).
- URIS B training
- Previous experience working with children with disabilities, especially in a one-on-one setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
- Physical ability to assist with mobility or other physical needs if required.
- Understanding of disability-related accommodations and interventions.
- Ability to follow directions and collaborate effectively with a team.
