What You’ll Do:
- Work with OHS team to support our retail Locations and operational divisions through maintaining and enhancing the Lordco OHS program
- Ensure adherence to federal, provincial and other regulatory agencies and regulations
- Conduct risk assessments and recommend corrective actions and improvements to safety practices
- Communicate effectively with staff and management to ensure compliance with standards and promote a positive safety culture
- Ensure proper use of PPE and safety equipment
- Participate in site inspections, make recommendations, and take action to eliminate or reduce risk and increase safety awareness
- Assist with maintaining records of monthly safety meetings, inspections, and training
- Work with the OHS team to develop and deliver training materails and programs for employees on health and safety matters
- Assist in incident investigations and other safety concerns to develop root causes and implement corrective actions
- Lead by example
- Other tasks as required
Do you fit the part?
- You are a highly motivated individual with a passion for safety excellence
- You have Post-secondary education related to Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent level of practical professional experience
- Able to travel with overnight stays
- Have a positive attitude to lead and influence others
- Strong technical skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- You can exercise sound judgment, discretion, and confidentiality
- Adaptable to changing demands
- Able to work as a team and independently
- TDG training and certification is an asset
- Have a BC class 7 or 5 driver’s license
