Boeing Canada Operations LtdBoeing Canada Operations Ltd is seeking to hire a Medium Heavy Lift Helicopter Obsolescence Analyst, reporting to Technical Integration Manager working out of the Ottawa office.
Position Responsibilities:
- Effectively lead, manage and track CH147F Chinook Helicopter obsolescence related to airframe systems, dynamics systems and avionics systems.
- Collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze obsolescence data from appropriate data sources and present findings, and recommendations to Program Leadership.
- Apply program level knowledge of engineering planning, supportability and scheduled maintenance to support obsolescence replacement solutions in support of the CH147F Chinook fleet sustainment.
- Manage ongoing updates to obsolescence configuration data and develop life-cycle product roadmaps.
- Utilize technical writing skills to maintain obsolescence process documentation and produce option analysis reports that address specific MHLH program obsolescence cases.
- Coordinate obsolescence requirements and lead communication between cross functional teams within engineering, logistics and procurement disciplines.
- Identify and develop performance metrics and compare actual results to baseline plan to assess performance, efficiencies, productivity and lessons learned.
- Possess strong leadership, team building and communication skills and adept at maintaining good relationships with all stakeholders.
- Be able to perform assigned work with minimal direction and supervision. Actively participate in determining objectives of assignment; project plans, schedules, and independently arranges activities to accomplish those objectives.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 5+ years of Aviation experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
- Must be able to legally work in Canada
- Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data
- Must consent to Canadian Government Controlled Goods Program (CGP) assessment
- Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods
- Must be eligible for Secret Level II security clearance
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 10+ years of Aviation Experience in Maintenance and/or Engineering
- Knowledge in Obsolescence Management
- Experience in Project Management
- Rotary Wing Experience
- Knowledge of the Royal Canadian Air Force Technical Airworthiness Policy
- Post-Secondary Education
- Aircraft Life Cycle Management
- Active Secret II Clearance

Additional Information:
This requisition is for a locally hired position in Canada. The employer is Boeing Canada. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Benefits and pay are determined by Canada and are not on Boeing US-based payroll. This is not an expatriate assignment.
Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $67,000 – $95,000 CAD
