Compensation Range

$4,970.92 - $7,141.92 CAD Monthly

The Compensation Range is the span between the minimum and maximum base salary for a position. The midpoint of the range is approximately halfway between the minimum and the maximum and represents an employee that possesses full job knowledge, qualifications and experience for the position. In the normal course, employees will be hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the salary range for a job.

Job Summary

The Non-Credit and Micro-Credential online course development in Sustainable Agriculture is a Centre for Sustainable Food Systems (CSFS) initiatives. The Project Lead will head the online deliverable initiative specific to the CSFS’s Sustainable Practicum in Sustainable Agriculture. They will join the Teaching Team in an on-line course development capacity and be responsible for developing on-line courses, number and scope to be determined.

The Project Lead is responsible for aspects in the overall planning, development and delivery of one or more short-courses, potentially including Micro-Credential courses. The Project Lead works collaboratively with the Practicum teaching team and will lead the development of courses that will provide an outstanding student experience by ensuring excellence in course design and delivery. Knowledgeable about the practice of professional education in general and especially on-line deliverables, learning technologies and pedagogical strategies, the Project Lead develops high quality, innovative and engaging courses based on CSFS educational philosophy and the existing Sustainable Agriculture Practicum curriculum. New innovations and content will also be expected.


Organizational Status
Reports directly to the Education Manager at the Centre for Sustainable Food Systems. Works closely with relevant team members when needed but independently as well. Acts as the main point person with technical and IT staff re: IT support.

Consequence of Error/Judgement
Incorrect or poor decisions will have a significant and direct impact on the financial performance and reputation of the Micro-Credential Program, the Faculty and the University in general. Poor judgments could result in legal liability of the University. Poor hiring decisions could affect quality of courses, reputation of the University, which could affect client satisfaction and the financial viability of the Program.

Supervision Received
Reports to the Education Manager for overall policies and procedures of the Centre and receives day-to-day supervision and guidance from the Education Manager.

Minimum Qualifications
University degree in a relevant discipline. Minimum of two years of related experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
