Job Description
We’re currently seeking a sharp, organized, and detailed Expediter to help bridge the gap between our kitchen and front-of-house teams and play a crucial role in ensuring food quality, accuracy, timing and a smooth flow of the restaurant in a fine-dining environment.
What you will be doing:
- ensuring each dish is delivered to guests with impeccable timing and accuracy, meeting the highest standard of presentation and quality;
- acting as a crucial liaison between front- and back-of-house teams, clearly communicating special requests, dietary aversions, and allergy modifications with precision;
- conducting final quality control checks on every plate – assessing presentation, temperature, and order completeness before the dishes leave the kitchen;
- anticipating and resolving issues swiftly and professionally during peak service to maintain seamless flow and guest satisfaction;
- demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and cook times – ensuring a flawless course pacing and timely “fires” or “pick-ups”;
- maintaining acute awareness of table and seat numbers to guarantee dishes are delivered to the correct guest without delay or confusion;
- similar duties as assigned.
- minimum 1 year experience working as a server assistant in a 5-star fine-dining establishment;
- a diploma or degree in tourism and hospitality or similar is considered a strong asset;
- strong product and preparation method knowledge;
- ability to remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment;
- strong organizational skills;
- the ability to take direction and prioritize;
- strong oral communication skills.
