Responsibilities
- Manage front desk operations, including greeting patients and answering phone calls.
- Schedule appointments and maintain the calendar for medical professionals.
- Handle patient check-ins and check-outs efficiently.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as ACCURI and OSCAR.
- Coordinate communication between patients and healthcare providers.
- Ensure compliance with regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
- Assist in managing office supplies and inventory for the medical office.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Medical Secretary or in a similar administrative role within a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures is essential.
- Experience with electronic medical records systems is highly desirable.
- Proficient in using phone systems and office equipment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
