Job Description:
As a Medical Receptionist / Optometric Assistant / Student Optician at Willow, you will play a vital role in supporting our optometrists and ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience. Your responsibilities will include a mix of clinical, optical, and administrative tasks, making this a dynamic and rewarding position for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Duties
- Schedule appointments and manage the clinic’s calendar.
- Maintain accurate patient records and handle confidential information with discretion.
- Complete insurance billing and process payments.
Patient Interaction
- Greet and check in patients.
- Assist patients with pre-testing procedures such as auto-refraction, fundus photography and tonometry.
- Provide patient education on eye care such as contact lens usage.
Optical Responsibilities
- Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses based on their prescription and personal preferences.
- Aid in the fitting, adjustment, and repair of eyeglasses as needed.
- Educate patients on the proper care and maintenance of their eyewear.
Qualifications:
- No relevant experience is required but prior customer service experience is needed.
- Pay is based on experience and qualifications.
- Fluency in both English and Chinese is required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working with patients of all ages, including pediatric patients.
- Has availability of at least 24 hours/week, including Saturdays.
