Well established solo-physician's medical practice focused on the assessment and sclerotherapy treatment of varicose and spider veins, as well as cosmetic injectables (Botox and fillers), IPL , and laser treatments.
Job Summary
- Welcoming and checking in patients, scheduling new and returning patients by telephone and in person. Validate health card and obtain demographics.
- Respect patient privacy at all times.
- Updating and maintaining patient information using an EMR and paper chart.
- Managing referral and specialist appointments.
- Exam and reception room set up and maintenance including sanitizing and disinfection between patients.
- Directing patients to the examination room.
- Call patients to confirm appointments.
- Educating patients about procedures performed at the office.
- Processing of payments. Reconciliation of OHIP and uninsured billings.
- Process documents - filing, faxing, scanning and mailing.
- Inventory maintenance .
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Medical Office Assistant.
- Office Administration Medical Certificate of equivalent.
- Excellent customer service skills and telephone demeanor.
- Proficient use of EMR - particularly Accuro.
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
- Basic skills at POS.
